Paulette Frank info@pearlandfit.comRunning has definitely improved my overall fitness and lifestyle. It is now a part of my weekly routine. I have been running for nine years and have completed five full and two half marathons. This is my eighth year with Pearland Fit. I coached the Red Group for four years and this is my 4th year as Organizer for Pearland Fit. The most rewarding experience as a Coach is to see people set and meet their individual goal(s). After running my first marathon, I knew that I was a lifetime runner. I have a very supportive husband, Miguel and four beautiful children: Alex,19; Kennie, 17; Aaron, 15; and Kristian, 7. They are my biggest motivation for staying physically and mentally fit. Remember, life is filled with challenges and road bumps. Overcoming these challenges make winning even more enjoyable. When you cross that finish line, YOU ARE A WINNER!!!! Welcome to the runner's circle. |

| Laurie Main info@pearlandfit.comTraining with PearlandFit has been a wonderful experience for me. Talk about change your life! When I started, 8 years ago, I could only run around the block. I was in the back of the pack, but my coaches and running buddies inspired me to not give up. Finishing that first marathon was a huge accomplishment, and I knew I would run more. I returned to PearlandFit, first for two years as an assistant coach in the Red group, then as a head coach for 4 years. Helping others to meet their goals was a compelling reason to get up so early every Saturday. I have now completed 6 full marathons and two half- marathon. Every year brings it own challenges and rewards and I cannot wait to see what the next season will bring. Join us and Change Your Life. |

Richard Carroll rcarroll@houstonisd.org Head Coach On my office wall, I have medals from the eight full marathons and the dozen ½ marathons and 30K races that I have ran over the past three and ½ years. In the summer of 2005, I had been a couch potato for 7 years and had put on over 40 pounds. The BMI calculator said I was “obese”. I knew it was time for a change. I started by walking everyday. In September 2005 , I started running. I ran the Houston Warm-Up races that fall, the 20K, 25K and 30K. I then ran a 4:36 in the 2006 Houston Marathon. I have lost 55 pounds and I was hooked on running again. My only other marathon was a sub-4 hour run in the 1989 Houston Marathon. I joined Pearland Fit in 2007. I really enjoy our Saturday morning runs. Get off your couch and come run with us. You will love the change it will make to your life.
| Andre' Momie mrm2u2004@yahoo.com Assistant Coach I started running in 2005 and haven't stopped since. I spent 10 consecutive years without running being a part of my physical activities. So at age 33, I ran my 1st consecutive mile and felt like I needed an EKG! However, with great determination; I continued to add mile after mile along with a heart rate monitor as a precaution to run my 1st half marathon in 2005. At present I have completed 3 half marathons and 5 full marathons. Running is physical, but can always challenge you mentally. This is why I run, I love to challenge myself...can I go the distance? I started running with the Green Group last year (2008). The GG is full of motivation and caring runners, always sharing great stories during the run. There is no better feeling of adrenaline rush than crossing the finish line...no matter what your marathon time is 3hr, 4hr, 5hr, or 6hr. As we all know it can be a challenge to continue running when fatigue, cramps, and not so favorable weather joins in during a marathon. This is when your practice pays off!!! | ||

| David Blake dab1@att.net Head Coach "Up through my mid-20’s, I had been a casual recreational runner. But then a friend challenged me to do a marathon with him and we searched for a training manual to tell us how to do it. Although we succeeded in completing the marathon we realized that something very important was missing. The missing elements were the camaraderie, support, and friendships of other dedicated runners with a similar goal in mind. Pearland Fit has that element and allows all the runners - whether they are veterans or beginners - to learn from one another. I have completed 8 marathons and countless more races at shorter distances and am constantly striving to learn more and get better. I am now running to stay healthy and be an active role model for my most important fans (my wife Peggy and my two red-haired kids, Joanna 6 and Kevin 4) whom you will inevitably meet at some point during the season. As a coach my goal is to have fun, run safe, and enjoy the journey we will all take towards that starting line next January. Let’s take that first step!" | ||

| Kristie Wagoner kylekrisrylee@sbcglobal.net Head Coach Training with Pearland Fit has allowed me to reach goals that were honestly just thoughts or dreams! Before beginning the marathon training, I had always enjoyed running 2-3 miles, 3-4 times a week. When I first signed up for the program, I had never run more than 4 miles. I didn't really think I was going to be able to really run 26.2 miles, but agreed to give it a try. I surprised myself each week and took each week as a huge triumph! I have now completed 3 marathons, 2 1/2 marathons and had two kids in the mean time. I have a wonderful and supportive husband, Kyle, and 2 of my most #1 fans, Rylee 3 years and Reese 1 year. Running has become such a huge part of my life and I have met wonderful friends along the way. I would have never thought I would be a repeat marathoner, but once you experience the feeling, it's difficult to let go. I am excited to help you reach your goal and fulfill your dreams. I want to help give you the feeling of crossing that finish line! There's truly not a better feeling than that! I am looking forward to meeting and running with you! | ||

| Natalie Moya nmoya@tmhs.org Head Coach I love training with PearlandFit because it keeps me accountable. Knowing that people are there waiting for you on Saturday mornings, really helps keep you on schedule. I've trained with PearlandFit for 3 years, and have completed four half marathons including; Aramco, Disneyland, and Nike Women's. I enjoy being active and surrounding myself with others who also enjoy running and walking. This is my first year as the Head Coach of the walkers-- and I am looking forward to helping others reach their goal. Even if you only walk short distances, with this program you will be able to complete a marathon or half marathon. | ||

| Linda Tyler lindastyler@comcast.net Assistant Coach I joined PF the year the running club was organized. My neighbor asked if I would train with her to run the marathon. I said "sure", never thinking in a million years that I would do it. The rest is history. I have certainly enjoyed my association with PF and feel I have made wonderful friends, as well as, committing to a healthy life style that I never intend to give up. Running has helped me survive through life's ups and downs. Although I have slowed down I know I can be an encourager and a mentor. Pearland Fit is a great program regardless of fitness level. Again, The old cliche; "If I can do it anyone can do it!" | ||

![]() | Sasha Buchheit sashaheaden@aol.com Assistant Coach I joined PFIT after I had lost 110 pounds and had reached a plateau. The training was a change in my routine workouts, which truly benefited me. I loved the challenge and continue to enjoy it. I wasn’t sure about running and after talking to Laurie many times I finally joined. It was the best decision I have made. I never thought I would be a runner but I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have met some great people and have a great time cheering everybody on. Being part of PFIT has been a wonderful experience for me; I hope that I can contribute in making it a wonderful one for you!
